NBSC AND XU-SOE STRENGTHEN SUPPORT FOR TEACHER EDUCATION
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) welcomed guests from the Xavier University – School of Education (XU-SOE) on November 11, 2025, for the event “Strengthening Partnerships in Teacher Education: Courtesy Visit of Xavier University – School of Education (XU-SOE)”, held at the NBSC Boardroom and organized by the Kalampusan Program Office (KPO). The engagement aimed to reinforce cooperation between institutions in promoting quality teacher education.
The program commenced with a solidarity address from Dr. Edralin C. Manla, Dean of XU-SOE. Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, then outlined the meeting’s background and objectives.
Several updates and highlights were presented. Dr. Mary Cris J. Go, KPO Head, discussed ongoing efforts under the BLEPT Enhancement Program (KALAMPUSAN). Ms. Helen B. Ajon, TERC Focal Person, provided insights into recent developments related to the Teacher Education Research Conference (TERC). Ms. Heterae C. Dairo, representing the Student Affairs, Services, and Development Division (SASDD), shared progress within the Student Leadership and Formation Program (SLP).
The delegation from XU-SOE, led by Dr. Manla, shared institutional updates, accomplishments, and prospective directions. Dr. Manla, in turn, acknowledged that NBSC has a lot of potential and possesses rare gems that can be polished further into a brighter future. Dr. Christine C. Royo, Head of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE), summarized what had been covered so far and the collaborative steps both institutions will take in the future. The session concluded with a brief message from Dr. Go, expressing appreciation for the shared commitment to advancing teacher education.
The gathering ended with a photo opportunity and light refreshments, symbolizing fellowship and the spirit of collaboration between NBSC and XU-SOE
